One of our newest Life Groups launches on April 10th for youth/children.

“The Story” is a LifeGroup for Pre-K- 5th grade designed to teach the foundations of our faith while walking through God’s story. Emphasis will also be on prayer and worship. This LifeGroup will meet on Sunday evenings at 6 pm downstairs in the Youth Room.

It’s a great opportunity for children in this age group to share time together in God’s Word and build on a strong foundation! All children Pre-K through 5th grade are welcome.

Why is Obedience better than Sacrifice?

This Life Group led by Wendy and Russell Patrick will explore why – in God’s eyes – it is more respectful to obey Him, listen, and do exactly as He instructs versus sacrifice.  And also learn why it’s important for us not to get in the way of God and do what we think is good.

Our hearts may be in the right place, but was it God’s instruction or our own? There is something far greater to God than sacrifice – and we will learn what that is for each of us. We will also learn how to act on it and please God even when it gets hard.

Join us starting Sunday evening, April 10th at 6pm at Lakewood Community Church’s Family Life Center. Wendy and Russell Patrick will lead us as we share, get to know one another better, and pray for each other.

Everyone is welcome (members and non-members) – bring a friend or two!

Life Groups are forming now – and they’re not just for adults!

We have a Life Group especially designed for youth in 6th Grade and Up! We’ll explore various topics of interest on Sunday evenings at 5:30 pm. Plan to meet in “The Cave” (Pastor Ryan’s basement) where the fun and discussion begins.

These are confusing times for many Christians. Traditional biblical values are not only rejected; it seems as if they’re attacked on every front. It’s all happened at warp speed, leaving many of us spiritually and culturally disoriented or even fearful, frustrated, and angry. How can we spiritually survive in an increasingly spiritually hostile environment? And is there any hope for the next generation?

We can learn so much from Daniel and other faithful followers of Christ. Hope, humility, wisdom, and so much more! All of these things equip us to face the challenges of daily life and lead us to a closer walk with God.

Gary and Cindy Goodson are leading one of our newest Life Groups – “Thriving in Babylon”. This group meets on Thursday nights at 7pm at 457 Ringgold Depot Road. It’s an opportunity to join together with a group of believers to explore this topic and discuss ways to stay strong and faithful in the face of adversity and confusion.You will be encouraged, uplifted, and inspired as you take this journey with us. Though Daniel lived thousands of years ago, he has much to teach us today.
